It all started when I was scrolling through Instagram, looking for a concert that I could enjoy while sitting and relaxing. Suddenly, an account called sunsetdikebun popped up on my explore page.
After checking out the venue and the guest stars, me and my two friends—Najma and Nadiah—decided to go to the one at Kebun Raya Bogor, ‘cause it was the closest and most convenient.
After failing to secure early bird or presale tickets, I ended up getting the regular Bestree ticket for 450k IDR (yep, not even including tax). Not cheap, but hey, worth it for the vibe, right?
Finally, the day arrived! We met up at Bogor Station and took a Grab to our hotel, ‘cause we were planning to stay the night.
After checking in, we headed straight to Kebun Raya Bogor, arriving around 12:45 PM. We went through the ticket check, and the staff guided us to the venue.
Natura: Crafting bouquets
The whole setup was pretty cute; we laid out Nadiah’s tiker (our trusty picnic mat) and chilled. The concert wasn’t just about the music. They had these workshops called Natura, which were super fun. We even joined a bouquet-making class—total score because it was free and there were exactly three spots left!
After we finished crafting our little bouquets, we returned to our picnic spot. By then, some guest stars had already started performing.
The place was also filled with food booths and sponsor stalls, so Najma and I grabbed some snacks to hold us over. The chicken pop? Absolute favorite! Imagine perfectly seasoned chicken paired with this super unique cone. Chef’s kiss.
As the sun began to set, the concert vibe really kicked in. Fiersa Besari was up, and it was like stepping into a nostalgia portal back to our high school days, singing along to every word.
And then there was Pamungkas, another throwback to our teenage years. It was honestly so satisfying to sing along with hundreds of people, all of us just vibing in sync.
When the Rain Came
Ah, the outdoor concert struggle, rain. The first few sprinkles were fine; we whipped out our raincoats (bought earlier, thankfully). But then, out of nowhere, the rain just dumped on us. We ran for cover, and while Najma and I took a quick prayer break at the musholla, Nadiah held down the fort at one of the nearby tents.
The concert paused for a bit due to the downpour, which was kind of a bummer since we were all waiting for Nadin Amizah’s performance.
But after a while, the rain eased up just in time for her set. We ended up watching from a distance, still soaked but still so hyped. There was something special about singing along in the rain, surrounded by strangers who felt like friends in that moment.
A Moment of Magic
It's so lovely to see couples sharing umbrellas and stealing glances at each other! Friends hugging and belting out every note. Families, huddled together, singing along too. It felt like such a full-circle moment. I even teared up, thinking about my mom.
And then, during Beranjak Dewasa, some people at the front started forming a circle, dancing in the rain like little kids.
It grew bigger and bigger, and soon enough, Nadin herself joined in. It was pure, unfiltered joy—just this raw, beautiful moment that I’ll never forget.
