After a slow morning filled with breakfast, hot tea, and prepping lunch to enjoy at the waterfall, we were ready for our mini adventure. With our bags staying cozy back in the cabin, we kept it simple—sandals on our feet and excitement in our hearts. The idea of dipping into Curug Cibulao’s crystal-clear waters was too tempting to resist. So, with everything set, we stepped out, ready to trade pine trees for the sound of rushing water.
With directions from the camp guide fresh in our minds, we started our short trek to Curug Cibulao. It’s only about 600–700 meters from the Bukit Pinus Paseban Camp parking lot, so we spent the walk cracking jokes and soaking in the crisp morning air. Before we knew it, we reached the motorcycle parking area, just as the guide had mentioned. Perfect timing too, since a staff member working at Curug Cibulao had just arrived, so we decided to follow them. Of course, we made a quick pit stop for a group photo at the iconic Curug Cibulao gate before grabbing our entry tickets and getting fitted with life vests.
Curug Cibulao Facilities
Curug Cibulao provides essential facilities to make your visit comfortable, including easily accessible parking spaces, toilets, and food stalls that offer quick bites and drinks. The site also has a musholla for prayer and a clean, well-maintained area for relaxation. Life vests are provided for water activities, and guides always ensure visitors wear them for safety. While the facilities are adequate, it’s recommended to bring personal necessities like snacks, sunscreen, and water for a more enjoyable experience.
Fun, Fears, and New Friendships
By then, my stomach was acting up again thanks to acid reflux from breakfast. It had calmed down earlier but flared up just as we arrived at the waterfall—classic bad timing! Luckily, a nearby shop had exactly what I needed. Shoutout to April, who jumped into nurse mode, bought the medicine, and handed me warm water like a pro.
When we finally got down to the waterfall, I couldn’t believe how many people were already there, even though it was still pretty early. We found a big rock to settle on, left our sandals, and got comfortable. Dina and Najma were the first to dive into the crystal-clear water, while I recorded their antics and sneaked glances at people jumping off the top of the waterfall—it looked insanely fun!
Since I wasn’t feeling great, I decided to just chill and watch my friends having fun in the water. They were hyping themselves up to jump from the top of the waterfall, and let me tell you, watching their nervous and scared reactions was hilarious. I recorded all four of them as they hesitated and psyched themselves up.
When it was Nadiah’s turn, she was so scared that she actually told the person behind her to go first. We all cheered her on, and honestly, if I were in her spot, I’d be just as nervous, no cap. Everyone, including the other visitors, started hyping her up with stuff like, “Come on, Nadiah, you got this!” And guess what? She finally pushed past her fear and made the jump! We all clapped and cheered like proud parents—it was such a wholesome moment.
They told me they made friends with a girl while waiting in line to jump. Huge shoutout to her for snapping a stunning photo of all four of them with the breathtaking view in the background! After the adrenaline rush, we headed back to the big rock, settled down, and dug into our packed meals. Even though I didn’t get to join in the water fun as much as I’d hoped, I couldn’t help but feel genuinely happy.
We ate while reminiscing about all the fun moments earlier. Afterward, we took tons of photos and didn’t forget to shoot a short video for a TikTok compilation. Then, we headed up to the upper area to return the life vests and started walking back to Bukit Pinus Paseban Camp. On the way, I suddenly felt a bit out of breath, so I told them to go ahead. I took a 10-minute break at a post to catch my breath, with Dina by my side—thanks to her. I felt bad for slowing everyone down, but they were so caring and thoughtful, thank you guys. Dina and I then continued our walk to the camp and arrived safely.
Sticking Together Through Challenges and Wrapping Up the Day
Once we got to the cabin, we quickly got our things together while waiting for our turn to shower. April was the first to finish and we decided to send her to ask the camp guide about the pick-up. After everyone showered and prayed, we headed up to the camp area to wait for the pick-up. We had already decided to take the pick-up truck to the main road in Puncak, since that was the easiest option for us. After some haggling with the driver, we hopped into the pick-up, enjoying the view and chatting. Despite some challenges, it felt so great doing all these crazy things together, and not one of us complained. We were just happy and enjoying the moment.
When we reached the main road, we walked over to Cimory Riverside, where Dina and Nadiah went shopping while the rest of us tried ordering an online ride. Sadly, many drivers canceled on us—our mistake for not checking the vehicle options properly. But again, no one complained. We stayed calm and asked a security guard for advice, who suggested we take an angkot to Sukasari. We hopped on, transferred to another angkot to the Bogor station, and and finally arrived there safe and sound. We decided to grab a bite at the station food court. Unfortunately, Najma had to head home early for an event. After eating, we said our goodbyes and made it home safely. Despite the setbacks we encountered along the way, our shared patience and support for each other made the journey unforgettable, proving that sometimes the best memories are made not just from the destination, but from the challenges we face together.

Crowds
The natural beauty of Curug Cibulao attracts many visitors, especially on weekends, creating a bustling environment that can diminish the peaceful vibe. Those seeking solitude might find it challenging to fully enjoy the surroundings during peak times.
Challenging Paths
